What it really costs to study in France

Tuition in France ranges from almost nothing at public universities to €10,000+ at private schools and grandes écoles. Set yours and see the honest all-in number.

France has many private schools and grandes écoles, and their fees vary enormously, often €10,000 to €20,000+ a year (top business schools higher). Public universities are far cheaper and sometimes waive non-EU fees to the EU rate. Always check your exact program and type the real number here.

Whole monthly living cost (rent, food, transport, phone). CROUS housing is cheapest. Note: from July 2026 non-EU students without a scholarship no longer get CAF housing aid, so do not assume that subsidy.

Public student health registration is free; a mutuelle is an optional cheap top-up.
